pit stop and goals
Recently was talking with 1 of my working colleague. I asked him this question.
Alvin: "Hey, do you have any goals in life..."
Colleague: "Hmm... I have my family, 2 kids, a stable career..."
Alvin: "Is that all you are seeking?"
Colleague: "oh to give my family a better life."
I was looking at myself. Alvin what are your goals in life? Millionaire, Good family, Good career... this list cant stop till the day i die.
Friends, I believe all of you have some how similar goals as mine. But look at it carefully, are they really your goals? Or are they just a pitstop in your life?
I ask myself this question... What after my millionaire dream? A billionarie dream? Sometime I was thinking, if I had the asset of Mr Bill, will this be my dream?
This dreams or goals are endless....
Look at a F1 race. What is the goal of each driver... to complete the whole race and to grab tt checker flag. Our life is also somehow being illustrated in this race. All of us are racing to complete this long and tiring race. 1 common goal... to finish it!
Wait look at the diff racers, in between each race there are lots of pitstop they take. To check their car, to refill their tanks, to restragetic their tactics. Then zoomzzz they move on... to complete their common goal.
I believe you are getting what i wanna say, the pitstop illustrater our so call goals in life "our millionarie, our good career, our happy family....." but is it our finally destination.. I guess NOT. Because you know that, in this F1 race you can take as many pitstops as you like. Friends today, what is the checker flag that you are racing for?
Is it still that millionaire dream? Is it still that pose car that you are eyeing for? Is it still that relationship that you wish to have? This are great pitstops for you, cause it act as a place for you to rest. But I bet that not ur checker flag.
For me.... I know 1 thing for sure. My checker flag, is to let ppl encounter that love that changes my life and destiny which I am heading to.
Today, I wanna take this oppt to thank those who had really made an impact in my life. I might not be a Michael Schumacher but I know I am going to complete the race and not stop at my pitstop.
Pitstop are good but completing the race is even better!
2 Tim 4:7
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Alvin: "Great but for me, I want to be a CHANGE for the future."
Colleague: "Wow"
